Country Resort in Costa Smeralda, Sardinia, Italy

Offered at Price upon request

Surrounded by over 23 hectares of unspoiled land with rocks, thousand of junipers and other trees, shrubbery, and flowers, I Casali comprises a farm house, guest house, barn, and stables. The farm house features a living room, dining room, powder room, kitchen, three double bedrooms with en-suite baths, and a large patio for alfresco meal, while the guest house boasts an open space with living room and a double bedroom, bathroom, and a private spa. The barn houses two duplex flats, each with living room, kitchen and dining area, a powder room, and two double bedrooms with en-suite baths on the upper floor. Also on the upper floor are two studios, currently used as staff quarters, each with private bath and kitchen. the stables can accommodate up to 10 horses, an office area, a bathroom, a storage area, and a fenced area for working the horses.

Over the last four years, I Casali has—as a luxury vacation rental—provided net proceeds above the cost of maintaining the entire complex, and is conveniently located less than 20 km and 25 minutes from Olbia International Airport, 5 km from Costa Smeralda’s new polo field, less than 12 km from Portisco with its modern marina, and less than 20 km from Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo.

Costa Smeralda lies in the northern part of Sardinia next to the charming village of San Pantaleo, famous for its open-air market and its artist community, white sandy beaches, crystal water, natural reserves, and terrific panoramic views. One of the most visited regions in Italy, in August it is a destination for the international jet set.

The property now consists of I Casali and The Villa, being offered separately. The two are invisible to one another and completely autonomous, only sharing a common main gate access and the first 300 meters of the entry road. The property was carefully conceived and built between 2003 and 2009 from the ground up by the current owner. Great attention was paid to the care and respect of the natural environment, making the estate eco-friendly. Dozens of footpaths lead to panoramic viewpoints, and facilities for riding, tennis, and swimming are provided.
