Chris Webster has played significant leadership roles in a range of successful ventures, including real estate brokerage and brand enhancement in the US and abroad since the mid-1970s with Sotheby’s International Realty and Leading Estates of the World culminating in the sale of Christopher Webster Real Estate to Sotheby’s Holdings in 1998 and the purchase of Leading Estates of the World / The Estates Club in 2015, the founding in 1982 and subsequent sale of Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company to Reynolds Tobacco (RJR) in 2002, as well as the brokerage and collection of important historical art, to name but a few. He manages his family’s diverse business and philanthropic initiatives through Santa Fe, New Mexico based WEBSTER ENTERPRISES, founded on the west side of the historic Plaza in 1972. Chris is a graduate of The Episcopal High School in Virginia and Duke University in North Carolina where he received his bachelor’s degree in History. Chris and Patti Webster are the parents of three children and live in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Kealakekua, Hawai’i.

WEBSTER ESTATES represents and advises buyers, sellers, and developers of upscale luxury residential, commercial, and resort properties in the most active urban and boutique markets throughout the Americas and Western Europe. WEBSTER VENTURES evaluates and pursues selective venture capital and private equity investment opportunities in diverse industries and fields and advises the companies selected.
WEBSTER ESTATES (originally Christopher Webster Real Estate), was founded in 1976 and continues to produce market leading, often record setting, residential and commercial sales in the Santa Fe area market and elsewhere. An exclusive affiliate relationship was established with Sotheby’s International Realty (SIR) and Leading Estates of the World / The Estates Club for the state of New Mexico in the early 1980s, and in the late 1980s, North Carolina and Mexico as well. Chris served on the SIR Advisory Board from 1989 until 2004, assisting with the growth and development of this dynamic company in expanding the world’s premier real estate brand specializing in prestigious international property brokerage. Sotheby’s International Realty acknowledged Christopher Webster Real Estate as the Affiliate of the Year in 1993, and bought the company as its first acquisition of an affiliate company worldwide in 1998. In 2005, Chris became a Partner and Managing Director of Synthesis Realty Group, a company coordinating and directing development, marketing, and sales of the world’s most exclusive residential and resort communities. In 2015, Chris became an owner, managing director, and publisher of Leading Estates of the World / The Estates Club, the preeminent magazine and company showcasing the world’s most extraordinary residential estate properties since 1969.
