International Real Estate & Business Advisor, Entrepreneur, Auctioneer & Rainmaker.
If it’s a tough deal or they say it can’t be done, those looking to make it happen turn to Australian Bernard Uechtritz, the man they respectfully call “the fixer and a rainmaker.” His “can do” reputation for successful transactions includes expertise in luxury and ranch real estate markets around the world—from cattle stations in Australia to celebrity homes in Beverly Hills and iconic ranches across Texas.
Uechtritz is an International Real Estate advisor for Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty in Dallas. He considers negotiations involving contentious parties, lawsuits, bankruptcy, estate division and lender owned assets his specialty.
As a native Australian who learned about the value of land from riding miles of fence lines, breaking horses, breeding cattle and managing over 500 plantation workers daily across thousands of acres of cocoa, coconuts and oil palm in Papua New Guinea, Uechtritz has a deep appreciation for the commercial and investment opportunities that come with land ownership, and an uncommon “common sense” approach to life and business.
Uechtritz has lived in the U.S. and traveled the world for 25 years and now resides in Dallas, Texas, where he works primarily as an international marketing and business consultant and complex real estate specialist. He shares his expertise in a range of real estate activities including advising and partnering with some of the world’s best brokers and biggest landowners in strategic marketing campaigns to sell unique properties.
“My strengths are my mongrel bloodlines, a diversified successful family and a colorful background, resulting in a broad worldwide network of decision makers throughout a variety of business, sports, political, celebrity and corporate connections. Because I have worked internationally across a range of interests, I’m able to develop a broader vision for signature properties. I may be selling a ranch locally, but I’m marketing it to clients and contacts as far away as California, South America, China and Australia who understand and seek appreciation and security with land in Texas. I don’t do the easy deals, they are all taken. I do some deals that make headlines and many that by design and confidentiality request, you’ll never read about.”
Uechtritz is also the founder of the Australian American Network, an affiliation of the Australian American Chamber of Commerce Houston. A successful business track record in the U.S. includes marketing of some of Texas’ most iconic cattle ranches and transacting oil and gas rights deals. Uechtritz was the visionary of Abercrombie Ranch and Park South luxury home gated communities in Southern California. He has marketed and sold high profile celebrity mega mansions in Malibu and Beverly Hills as well as owning luxury brand real estate offices in California. Originally from Papua New Guinea, he operates a Vineyard in California and is an avid polo and polocrosse playing enthusiast. He has nine brothers and sisters, four children of his own, and he comes from a pioneering family known throughout Papua New Guinea and Australia.
