The celebrated architect Julia Morgan designed over 700 buildings throughout her storied career, among them Hearst Castle. Twin Pines, a quintessential Old-Tahoe estate on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, is another of her masterpieces. Morgan’s architectural stamp was incorporating natural elements to create a living space at once functional, comfortable, and unique. Twin Pines takes full advantage of lake and mountain vistas framed by rock fireplaces, knotty pine and hardwood floors, and open-beam pine ceilings. The 1.74-acre property borders the Edgewood Tahoe championship golf course and embraces 180 feet of wide sandy beach, a pier, and boat buoy. Ultimately private, the estate is within easy walking distance to the Heavenly Mountain Resort gondola, casinos, restaurants, and outdoor trails.
