A magnificent villa near Rome dates back to the 16th century, when it was commissioned by a cardinal who had found the ideal location to uplift his spirit. In recent times, the property was transformed into a prestigious hotel that offers guests a spectacular setting that perfectly blends luxury, modernity, and comfort. Over the centuries, changes in ownership have left their mark on the architecture and decoration of the villa. Complex and careful restoration, begun in 1987, gave new life and splendor to the villa, which is on the slopes of a mountain and is surrounded by 15,000 square meters of woods with plantain trees, oaks, precious cedars of Lebanon, palms, pines, and redwoods. Two annexes, the ancient paggeria and limonaia from the XVIII century, were recovered and connected to the main villa. Altogether there are 60 bedrooms, of which 13 are in the villa with the balance in the annexes. Each room is beautifully furnished and enjoys a refined and welcoming ambience, as well as panoramic views of the city of Rome. Five meeting rooms and a number of spaces are dedicated to aperitifs, breakfasts, receptions, and gala dinners. The garden features a large swimming pool that enjoys the mesmerizing and panoramic views, as well as an atmosphere of peace that has been preserved since inception of this extraordinary and enchanting estate complete with its original frescoes.
