In 1928 George Washington Smith was commissioned to create a Spanish Revival showpiece for Milton Wilson, one of three partners who developed Hope Ranch Park. Perched atop a private crest of nearly eight acres of equestrian land, and celebrating Pacific Ocean views that stretch to the Channel Islands, Robledal is a Santa Barbara treasure. A vintage mélange of wrought-iron gates, carved doors, precious tiles, and fountained garden terraces, its meticulously restored sun-dappled salons, solarium, array of charming bedrooms, and firelit master suite—not to mention its wondrous grounds adorned with a pool and tennis court overlooking the Pacific—are unforgettable.
