Near world-famous Atlantic beaches in the heart of Bridgehampton, noted architect Lacina Heitler outdid herself when she transformed what was already a classic landmark into a soaring glass-walled country sentinel infused with the spirit of an Aman resort hotel. Nearly 9,000 square feet of living space flows from ethereal public rooms, each with a unique fireplace, to a high-tech marvel-of-a-kitchen joined by a firelit alfresco dining area. Two other settings are unforgettable. One is the master suite, a pristine firelit oasis unto itself outfitted with a lavish bath, dressing room with enormous closets, and view-filled balconies. The other is the pool pavilion, where—especially by the magic of starlight—reflections from main residence, poolhouse, and illuminated gardens dance in the water, paying homage to the drama of the architecture.
